Canada Day 2017 in Milton
This year our great nation will celebrate its 150th birthday on Saturday, July 1st and there will be loads of FUN and ENTERTAINMENT for friends and family to enjoy! As always, there are great activities to participate in on this fabulous summer statutory holiday. At Milton Kids, it is important to us that you have information in advance to plan your day and maximize your FUN! Take a look at the Canada Day festivities planned to occur in Milton on July 1st, 2017:
The largest attended one day event in Milton will provide an array of exciting activities which include fantastic live music, a wide variety of entertainment, diverse food choices, arts and crafts, fun activities for all ages, and the finale featuring spectacular fireworks at 10:00 pm.
The gates at Milton Fair Grounds will open at 11:30 am and festivities will run until the conclusion of a fabulous fireworks display after 10:00 pm – rain or shine! Admission to the Fair Grounds is free, but donations when you enter are appreciated.

- Veteran’s Parade at 11:30 am from Town Hall to the Milton Fair Grounds

Mel Monaco – 7 pm
“If you can’t be safe, be spectacular”: a phrase setting the tone for Mel Monaco, singer/songwriter. Inspired by the dark brassy notes of legends, such as Amy Winehouse, Nina Simone and Paul Simon, Mel produces a contemporary, yet vintage inspired blues pop soul sound enhanced by her unique alto voice that can be heard through her diverse original compilations.

In 2016 Mel released her full length video, “Hold Me Back” to both critical and public acclaim. Continuing with its success, Mel is releasing her new full length album “Falling For The Third Time” on August 19, 2017. Keep an eye and ear out for Mel Monaco!
Mel Monaco will be performing on the Main Stage at 7:00 in the evening to kick of the evening’s entertainment.
Stephens Garage – 8 pm
Stephen’s Garage is a dynamic 6 piece band from Mississauga, Ontario and the surrounding GTA. With the incredible vocals of frontman Stephen Balchand, backed by an exceptional classic guitar and keyboard combination, this band delivers a high energy performance that covers some of the greatest hits from over 5 decades of music. Their unique combination of genuine sound and fun approach to entertainment is something that you don’t want to miss.
Stacey Rennee – 9 pm
Toronto Singer, Songwriter, Performer & Indie Rock Artist Stacey Renee has entertained crowds across North America – opening for such artists as The Trews, Treble Charger, Suzie McNeil, and has been featured on Much Music’s television show “disBand”.
